About the school

Chang's School of Martial Arts is a community-based non-profit organization offering Martial Arts instruction in several disciplines for children, youth, and adults.

Mission

The ultimate goal of Chang's School of Martial Arts is to perfect one’s character through traditional martial arts training. Chang's School of Martial Arts strives to develop individuals who are physically and mentally progressive and productive, and who are simultaneously aware of the physical, mental, and moral obligations to themselves and to others.

History

In 1973 Grand Master Chang opened Chang's School of Judo and Karate, providing quality instruction in martial arts for 33 years. In 2006, Grand Master Chang's instructors and students formed Chang's School of Martial Arts, a community based Non-Profit organization dedicated to bringing the benefits of discipline, self-confidence and fitness that martial arts provide to children, youth and adults in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Chang's School of Martial Arts offers instruction in several disciplines, and offers the KAFA (Karate Adapted for Autism) program.

Instructors

Classes are taught primarily by a number of Master level instructors, most with over 30 years of experience.  The curriculum is based on Grand Master Chang's teachings and programs, includind T.K.A. (TaeKwonDo, Karate and Aikido), Judo/Jujitsu, and Ninja-Fu (a unique art created by Grand Master Chang).

Governance

Chang's School of Martial Arts is governed by the Board of Directors.
